Bright yellow pea-like flowers of this shrubby perennial bloom in late spring to early summer amidst lovely clover-like leaves. Blooms give way to near-black seed pods, which help maintain visual interest through winter. Because the pods mimic tiny rattles, this plant is sometimes nicknamed rattleweed. Deer resistant.
