The easiest of the milkweeds to establish, this variety is a hands-down winner with its long lasting domes of pink/purplish starry shaped flowers. Long disregarded as a horrible weed, common milkweed has risen in status with its aesthetic value and essential contribution to the health of Monarchs. Common Milkweed is the most fragrant of the milkweeds, filling the air with a lilac-like scent. Embrace it as a value-added plant!
