Bearing clusters of fuzzy white flowers, this tall elegant plant provides welcome blooms in late summer and well into the fall; its nectar attracts a number of butterflies, moths, and bees.

Caution: Snakeroot contains the toxin tremetol, which poisons the meat and milk of cows that eat it. The toxin can then be passed on to humans who eat the meat or deink the milk of affected cow
