Late Purple Aster

With its compact masses of soft blue to deep purple daisy-like flowers with yellow centers, this aster species blooms alongside Goldenrod in September and October, providing a striking color contrast. Grows 1-4’ and adapts to dry soil. Like other asters, it is host to the Pearl Crescent butterfly and several species of moths.
