This easy-going, adaptable species of wild sunflower is rhizomatous and spreads vigorously, making it most suitable for open areas. Yellow flowers on short (6”) stems bloom from early summer to fall. Pollinators love it, and its seeds provide food for birds and small mammals. Also makes a sweet cut flower!
